I sometimes wonder if people know how to interact face to face anymore.
With social media platforms like facebook and dating sites like match.com, people are getting comfortable sitting behind a computer screen. But what happens when someones tries to talk to you at work, at school, or at the local store?
According to a resent study, 1 in 5 relationship start online. This means that the first impression, argumentatively one of the most important interactions in a relationship of any kind, is achieved through email or instant message. This means that personal encounters are becoming a thing of the past. People might see a person they find interesting or attractive, but rather than approach that person, they wait to get home to send them a friend request. Doesn't that seem a bit silly?
People who are having trouble finding significant others do not need to make another social media profile. Perhaps your problem isn't your lack of interaction, but maybe the type of interaction. Maybe people should use their voice to communicate and not their keyboard.
Make your interactions more personable, regain your confidence.
